Cancer is a disease with multi-factors causes that formed in a long period of time. Cancer is always connected to a modern lifestyle since its practicality usually makes people tend to ignore a healthy life. A lot of activities, habits, and practices include risk factors. Lifestyle and attitude can have both positive and negative effects on health. Life-practices with negative effects are risk factors for cancer. Aim. To know the relationship between lifestyle with cancer cases in Prof. Dr. W.Z. Johannes General Hospital of Kupang. Method. This is a quantitative study uses comparative study design with case-control kind of approach. Sampling technique is purposive sampling. A number of samples are 36 respondents. Data collecting technique is by questionnaire. Result. Result of bivariate analyses shows that physical activity is at risk of cancer with OR 23,8 and p-value 0,000; nutritional patterns to cancer OR 23,8 and p-value 0,000; exposure to pollutants to cancer OR 4.021 and p-value 0,006. The result of statistical analysis that uses ordinal regression test shows that lifestyle that is at risk to cancer are distress and physical activity with p-value < 0.05, that is 0.01 and 0.03. Conclusion. A lifestyle that is at risk to cancer in Prof. Dr. W.Z. Johannes General Hospital of Kupang is physical activity, distress, nutritional patterns, and exposure to pollutants. ER -
