Violence to children is called child abuse. There are two child abuses, i.e. physical and emotional abuses. The Indonesian Child Protection Commission or Komisi Perlindungan Children Indonesia (KPAI) states that child abuse keeps on increasing each year. Method: quantitave with cross-sectional design, the population is all 8th grade students of SMP 11 Kupang Municipality amounting to 250 students and the sample is 92 students, the data are collected using questionnaire.  Results: most parents (77.17% ) have once committed physical abuse to their children. Meanwhile, 66% parents have once committed psychical abuse, with 13% of them frequently committing it and 3% of them highly frequently committing it. There is a significant correlation between the physical, verbal, and social abuses committed by parents to their children and the physical, verbal, and social abuses committed by children in SMP 11 Kupang Municipality. Suggestion: most parents of students at SMPN 11 Kupang Municipality have once committed physical, psychical, and social abuses, yet they never committed sexual abuse. Students at SMPN 11 Kupang Municipality have once committed abuse to others in the form of physical, psychical, sexual and social abuses. There is a significant correlation between parent’s violence to children and the abuse committed by children to others. ER -
