Abstract

Clinical laboratories are an important part of the learning process in vocational education. The process of maintaining or increasing student interest following the laboratory learning process needs to be continuously evaluated. This Research Type of this research is descriptive Quantitative, with design of cross-sectional study. With purpose to know the relation of student perception about competence of instructor of laboratory guidance with competency value of Nursing Study Program Waingapu. This research was conducted in July - September 2017 at Health Polytechnic of MoH of Kupang, Waingapu Nursing Study Program. The population in this study are all students of Level II and III of Waingapu Nursing Study Program of 200 0rang. The result of research with spearman rho correlation test: level II: -0.129 and p 0.75, level III: r: 0,122 and p: 0,100 meaning there is no relation between student perception about competence of instructor of laboratory with competency skill value of student lab of Nursing Study Program Waingapu. Suggestion: Continue to evaluate the process of guidance in the laboratory, Increase the supervisor's competence by conducting instructor training, evaluating to modify the process of guidance in the laboratory.
